Donnie Disco Presents announced that it is teaming up with FireChat to enable live, off-the-grid communication at this year’s Ultimate Music Experience. Using Firechat’s revolutionary technology, Disco Donnie Presents helps to alleviate the issue of no cellular connection at live events, allowing fans to chat with each other and the artists in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection.

Attracting over 50,000 attendees, UME is the largest spring break electronic dance music event in the US. The 2015 edition is taking place on South Padre Island, Texas on March 19th-21 is kicking off with a pre-party with Steve Aoki Wednesday, March 18. The three day festival will play host to electronic dance music’s most celebrated artists and DJs including David Guetta, Tiësto, Showtek, Robin Schulz, Destructo, Hardwell, W&W, Dannic, Thomas Newson, DVBBS, Oliver Heldens and Moti.

Open Garden (the creators of Fire Chat) enables live communication between fans and artists thanks to the free FireChat app. EDM enthusiasts can chat with one another and interact with world renowned DJ headliners before, during and after the festival, in a dedicated “UME” chatroom. FireChat’s award-winning technology allows you to communicate without any Internet or Wi-Fi connection, by allowing mobile phones to create their own peer-to-peer network.

FireChat is a free application for Android and iOS devices. The “UME” chatroom is available now and can be found here.
