If the idea of dressing up as a sexy referee has you feeling queasy, then it might be time to ditch your standard Halloween and participate in something you won’t spend hours drinking Jungle Juice to forget about. Lucky Man Concerts is proud to present the inaugural Monster Mash Music Festival at Tempe Beach Park, Arizona beginning Friday, October 30th, 2015 with a lineup so sick, it’ll make you forget the year you and your SO dressed up as Shrek and Fiona.
Most of the lineup has now been announced for the first-time rock fest that will take place from October 30 through November 1. It was previously announced that Linkin Park and Rob Zombie would be part of the festivities, but after teasing their fans with a “Wait for it…” announcement, Tool proclaimed they would be headlining on Saturday along with Primus and Coheed and Cambria and another band TBA. Tool front man Maynard James Keenan is recovering from recent hip replacement surgery, and is chomping at the bit to get back to practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and performing.
The first night of the festival features mostly classic rock with bands like Santana, John Fogerty, and Tedeschi Trucks Band, while Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, Deftones, Ghost, and Halestorm are booked for Sunday. Doors open at 5:30pm on Friday and will run until midnight both Friday and Saturday, with Sunday ending around 10:00 PM.
The first Monster Mash boasts a wide variety of local food vendors, artist merchandise, a convenient venue located four miles from Sky Harbor International Airport, and a hefty lineup with more artists to come. If you’re looking to stay local, the Monster Mash site offers the best rates for Monster Mash attendees with several hotels within five miles of the festival grounds. Before you get all hyped up and start surfing Halloween costumes online, be sure to look at the type of ticket you are purchasing carefully. Tickets are single-day only and there are no multi-day ticket options available at all. On Friday, guests can opt for the Santana VIP Package offering early entry, limited edition Santana lithograph, and Santana guitar picks. Tickets are available at the Marquee Theatre box office, as well as through Ticketmaster and the Monster Mash Website.
