General Overview

Lightning In A Bottle, (LIB), celebrates its 12th year, taking place May 24th – 29th, 2017 at the San Antonio Recreation Area in Bradley, CA. Via their Facebook page, Lightning In A Bottle’s purpose is, “Celebrating Art, Music, Performance, Sustainability & Life.” You can see that through the diverse music selection, art installations, education opportunities, and immersive environments they create for their inhabitants. In addition, the event is family friendly and is open to all ages, (those under the age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times).

Music & 2017 Lineup

The 2017 lineup, announced Jan. 23, has no shortage of talent and is sure to please, with a strong representation of the musical spectrum and many unique artists from the electronic world. This year includes, Bassnectar, Bonobo, Rüfüs Du Sol, Kaytranada, Jhené Aiko, Bomba Estéreo, Big Wild, Richie Hawtin, Troyboi, Paper Diamond, Sam Gellaitry, Stelouse, The California Honeydrops, Nic Fanciulli, Zach Deputy, Hernan Cattneo, Elephant Revival and many more!



LIB offers many experiences for attendees to appreciate from art, music, activities, food, spiritual guidance and more! A few experiences to check out are Lightning in a Paintcan (curated by the Do Art Foundation), the Learning Kitchen, and the various immersive environments.


For Lightning in a Paintcan, many of your favorite live painters, at the stages on showcase, will be creating their amazing artwork during your LIB experience. Also for those who want to take an original piece home, on Sunday night there will be a silent auction at the famous LIP ARTWALK. Learn more, here.


The Learning Kitchen offers hands-on nutrition classes and demonstrations, with both ancient and modern kitchen traditions to help feed and nourish your body.
