Thankful for Trancegiving – SoCal Dreamstate 2018

Fall is among us! Typically, most think of cool weather, pumpkin pie and sharing a meal with all your favorite people. To me, it’s a time to celebrate the ones you love, be grateful for the life you live and nurture the relationships that bring value to your every day. How else to do this than to bask in euphoric music with incredible human beings that share your passion for TRANCE?   Welcome to Trancegiving 2018!

In just a few days, many of us will be dipping out early from work on Wednesday, indulging in good food on Thursday and then booking it to the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, on Friday & Saturday.  This is Southern California’s 4th Annual Dreamstate! Awaken from your post-Thanksgiving food coma and prepare your mind and soul for this melodic treat on November 24th and 25th.  Insomniac’s two-day event attracts over 35,000 trance music fans to make the pilgrimage out to this Southern California venue to experience the largest gathering of trance artists in North America. What once was a one stage ordeal in 2015, has now spread across four massive stages – The Dream, The Vision, Timeless and The Sequence.  Dreamstate has a variety of sub genres that appeal to all kinds of Trance fans, everything from progressive, uplifting, psy trance, big room trance and everything in between.   It’s an event where DJ’s have the opportunity to share new tracks, projects and aliases of classic sets to explore different styles and dive into their inner creativity.

Thanks to Dreamstate and its dedicated fans, Insomniac has since expanded internationally to Australia, Mexico, the United Kingdom and also has their own stage at EDC Las Vegas, EDC India, Beyond Wonderland Mexico and many other Insomniac events. Dreamstate has quickly become the ultimate trance destination. With the venue transforming into a futuristic trance heaven, thousands of Dreamers are able to escape among the lights, lasers, aerialists, state-of-the-art illusions and stilt walkers.

The more I learn about Trance, the more I see how strong the community is around it. The fans don’t simply “kind of” like it, they feel awakened by the melodic beats. They can feel the music pulsing from their fingertips to the end of their toes, like an electric current naturally flowing inward from senses to soul. Trance DJs are constantly paying homage to the generations of trance DJs before them while concurrently inspiring generations to follow. This year is no different! The Dreamstate team is bringing a wide-ranging lineup of new artists, trance pioneers and innovative collaborations. While last year Dreamstate brought all the feels on the dance floor and had us clenching for tissues, this year we will surrender to more of the darkness.

Legendary acts like John O’Callaghan, Markus Schulz, Paul van Dyk, and Simon Patterson will take over the NOS Center to create the soundtrack celebrating the best in trance music, while LASERFACE by Gareth Emery and Sander van Doorn presents Purple Haze bring the best in notable trance side projects.
