React Presents has just announced the event dates and location for the 2019 Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF). The Midwest’s largest all-electronic music festival returns for its eighth year on June 7th through June 9th with over 100 artists performing across five unique stages, demonstrating a dynamic variety of genres within the electronic spectrum. This year, the fest will be held at Chicago’s Douglas Park, as Addams/Medill Park will be under construction during this time.
Located in the North Lawndale community and parts of Pilsen, the historic Douglas Park brings exciting new benefits for attendees including easier travel to/from the festival being just two blocks from the CTA California Pink line stop as well as more free street parking. The much larger footprint of Douglas Park will also better accommodate SAMF’s growing family of fans with more space for art installations, experiences and “curious corners to find and lose oneself in.” Along with the new location comes new designs including a completely re-imagined Solstice Stage and more.
As an added benefit for all the fans who supported SAMF after the move from Soldier Field to Addams/Medill and now to Douglas Park, the festival will send a loyalty code for discounted 2019 passes to join in celebrating the festival’s new home. The code was released today via email to buyers who purchased SAMF passes from tickets in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Public Early Bird Passes go on sale tomorrow, November 13th at 1pm CST at www.springawakeningfestival.com.
Keep your eyes peeled for the lineup, sure to be a banger paired with this year’s new stages, experiences, and location. See you in June!
