Our friends at Insomniac released the official dates and on sale information for the return of EDC Mexico, the largest dance music event in the country. The 4th annual EDC Mexico will once again take place at the expansive Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for two unforgettable nights on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26, transporting Headliners into a lively world of vibrant sights and sounds.
“Each year we return to Mexico City, it’s more successful and amazing than the previous year,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “I know that it will only continue to grow and be as dynamic as the city that surrounds it. We can’t wait to kick off 2017 with EDC Mexico.”
The much-anticipated fourth installment will once again bring fans together from around the world, offering them a colossal playground packed with towering art installations and colorful carnival rides, true to the high-energy, immersive EDC experience. Featuring beautiful stage designs, mind-blowing special effects, charismatic costumed performers, and world-renowned dance music acts, EDC Mexico will take attendees on a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory journey.
Last year’s festival hosted more than 125,000 Headliners and featured four impressive stages, six full-scale carnival attractions, and nearly 100 of the world’s top dance music artists including Above & Beyond, Alesso, Martin Garrix, Markus Schulz, DJ Snake, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Oliver Heldens, and Hot Since 82, as well as stage takeovers from Bassrush and Dreamstate for two days of bass-heavy drops and ethereal beats. Fans in Mexico were treated to the beauty of Earth’s natural elements displayed across the famous Crystal Village at kineticFIELD structure, which traveled outside of the US for the first time ever.
For US fans, EDC Mexico has become a destination getaway, offering a chance to connect with a community of Headliners from all over the globe while also exploring the rich culture of Mexico City and its many historic landmarks. This year’s festival is sure to bring even more surprises along with an incredible lineup of the most influential acts in dance music today.
